Groundwater survey, drilling, equipping, camera inspection, test pumping, flushing and maintenance for new and existing boreholes across Kenya.
Overview
A borehole is only as reliable as the work that goes into finding, building and looking after it. Weber Works covers the full life of a borehole: hydrogeological survey, drilling, equipping, test pumping, inspection, rehabilitation and routine maintenance, and, when a well has reached the end of its life, proper abandonment.
We begin with the ground. Our team carries out hydrogeological surveys with our own geophysical instrument (a Terrameter) so that the drilling point is chosen on evidence. Once a borehole is drilled, we equip it with the pump, rising main, cables, controls and water meter that suit its yield and your demand, using pumps and fittings from established makers such as Dayliff, Grundfos and Pedrollo.
For existing boreholes that have lost yield, run dry or started pumping sand, we investigate before we recommend anything. Our borehole service vehicles, test-pumping units and down-hole inspection cameras let us lift the pump, look inside the hole, measure depth and rest water level, and see whether the problem is the pump, the casing or silt and backfill. From there we can flush the borehole, recover equipment lost down the hole (fishing), replace worn components and add automation such as float-switch control.
Because surveys, inspections and repairs are done with our own equipment and crews, you deal with one team from first visit to handover, and the same team can return for scheduled maintenance.
Where we use it
- Homes and private residences
- Residential estates
- Hotels
- Institutions and faith communities
- Farms and agriculture
- Commercial and industrial sites
Why it matters
Evidence before drilling
Hydrogeological survey with our own Terrameter helps choose where to drill.
Diagnosis, not guesswork
Camera inspection and test pumping show what is wrong before money is spent on repairs.
Matched equipment
Pumps, pipes, cables and controls sized to the borehole's yield and your daily demand.
One team throughout
Survey, equipping, servicing and maintenance handled by the same in-house crew.
How we work
- 1. Enquiry
Tell us about your site, your water needs and any existing borehole records.
- 2. Survey or inspection
New sites get a hydrogeological survey; existing boreholes get an inspection, camera survey and, where needed, a test pump.
- 3. Proposal
We explain what we found and give a costed plan for drilling, equipping or rehabilitation.
- 4. Works
Drilling, equipping, flushing or repairs carried out and tested on site.
- 5. Handover and maintenance
We hand over the system with its operating details and can return for scheduled servicing.

Frequently asked questions
Do you survey a site before drilling?
Yes. We carry out a hydrogeological survey using our own geophysical instrument (Terrameter) so the drilling point is chosen on evidence rather than guesswork.
Our borehole has lost yield. Can it be saved?
Often it can. We inspect the borehole with a camera, check depth and rest water level, and then recommend the right fix, which may be flushing out silt or backfill, replacing the pump or rising main, or repairing controls.
What does "fishing" a borehole mean?
Fishing is recovering a pump, pipe or other equipment that has fallen or become stuck in the borehole, so the hole can be used again.
Which pump brands do you install?
We supply and install pumps from established makers including Dayliff, Grundfos and Pedrollo, chosen to suit the borehole and your demand.
Which permits or approvals does a new borehole need?
[TO CONFIRM: management wording on the approvals Weber Works arranges or advises on for new boreholes.]
